When Sara and Sarang reached out in January 2024, they were on a mission: pull off a stylish wedding at Connemara House in just a few short months. No big deal, right?
They needed a planner who could move fast, stay wildly organized, and bring a strong design POV, especially one that honored Sara’s Italian heritage in a fresh, not-overdone way. That’s where we came in. They booked just days after our call, and from there, we got to work.
From the start, they envisioned a wedding at Connemara House that felt intentional, warm, and distinctly Italian, yet modern and design-forward. It needed to feel personal and elevated, with nods to culture, color, and comfort. And yes, food was a major priority (as it should be).
Before we dive into this stunning wedding, hey there! At Carissa Corsi Events, we plan and design full wedding weekends that are highly personal, stylish as hell, and rooted in intentional details that actually mean something. If you’re dreaming of a wedding that looks incredible and feels like you, head to the portfolio and let’s start planning.

The Design Vision Behind This Wedding at Connemara House
The design vibe? Italian garden meets New England summer. It was fresh, bold, and full of heart. We wanted every visual element to feel warm, welcoming, and rooted in intentional details that told a story.
Here’s how we brought that to life:
- Color palette: A citrus-forward mix of sunset orange, butter yellow, and dusty blue, grounded by white florals and lush greenery. It gave us those Amalfi-by-way-of-Massachusetts vibes in the best way.
- Textures and materials: We used natural elements like lemons, olive branches, herbs, and soft linens to add depth and dimension without feeling overdone. Everything felt easy, elevated, and full of life.
- Venue choice: Connemara House brought the perfect balance of formal elegance and backyard comfort. It has a relaxed European charm that lets us lean into the Italian aesthetic without recreating a full villa setting.
- Design details: From the limoncello escort table to aperitivo-inspired snacks and an affogato truck for dessert, we tied in Italian elements that felt personal and intentional. Even the olive oil and bread on the tables reflected the kind of hospitality you find at a true Italian gathering.
This wedding at Connemara House was not just beautiful. It was immersive. Every detail had a purpose, and every design choice reflected who Sara and Sarang are: stylish, thoughtful, and deeply rooted in their story.

The Ceremony That Set the Tone
The ceremony kept things classic and soft. Miel Floral went with neutral whites and fresh greenery to let the natural beauty of Connemara House shine. No need to compete with that view. The setup felt light, calm, and inviting, exactly what you want when you’re setting the tone for a celebration rooted in love, family, and food.

Aperitivo-Inspired Cocktail Hour
This was our chance to sneak in some real Italian flavor, and we took it. Instead of your standard cocktail table florals, we went for bowls of nuts, olives, chips, and grissini. It felt more like a backyard aperitivo hour than a cocktail party, and it was a huge hit. Guests felt like they were somewhere in the hills of Tuscany (minus the jet lag). And the limoncello escort table? Absolute star of the show. Each mini bottle doubled as a place card and a little gift. Functional and fun, my love language.

Reception Design That Brought Color to This Wedding at Connemara House
Dinner took place under a sailcloth tent, where we kicked the color up a notch. Miel brought in deeper shades of orange and yellow through florals, with fresh fruit accents layered into the tablescapes. It was bold without being too bright. Fresh, fun, and still elegant.
We anchored it all with dusty blue linens, inspired by the Amalfi Coast. Add candles, custom signage, and a family-style olive oil and bread service, and you get a tablescape that feels cozy and curated.

A Flavor-First Dinner and Dessert Experience
Sara and Sarang’s menu was all about thoughtful, Italian-inspired food that honored Sara’s roots. Homemade olive oil. Fresh bread. Carefully plated courses. It felt like something you’d get at a long-table dinner in Southern Italy. Heartfelt, unpretentious, and so, so good.
Then came dessert: a three-tier lemon cake, simply dressed with greenery and fresh lemons. Minimalist and stunning. It sat on a dusty blue linen that brought the whole palette together.
And because we don’t stop at cake… cue the affogato truck. With custom spoons. Guests could make their own espresso + gelato combo, and it was chef’s kiss. A detail people are still talking about.

The Fashion Details That Elevated This Wedding at Connemara House
Sara wore the Viviana gown by Jenny Yoo. Quoted from the designer: “It takes a thoroughly modern approach to old Hollywood glamour. Featuring a structured cowl bodice and gracefully draped off-the-shoulder sleeves. Angled pleats flatter the tummy, and a dramatic cutaway slit lends the perfect opportunity for a fabulous statement shoe.”
And let me tell you, she wore it beautifully. Total showstopper.
Her bridesmaids wore mismatched dresses in Pistachio from Azazie, which paired beautifully with the citrus palette without feeling too matchy.
The groomsmen wore tuxes custom-selected from India, where Sarang is originally from. The blending of cultures in this wedding was subtle but powerful. It wasn’t about big statements; it was about thoughtful details woven in everywhere.

The Custom Touches and In-Between Moments That Brought Heart to This Wedding at Connemara House
Sara and Sarang didn’t just want a beautiful wedding. They wanted a day that felt like them. Every decision, from the food to the music to how guests found their seats, was rooted in meaning. Nothing felt forced or overdone. It was layered, thoughtful, and completely personal.
Here are just a few of those “this is SO them” moments:
- Limoncello escort display instead of a traditional seating chart
- Aperitivo snack tables at cocktail hour
- Custom affogato truck for dessert (with branded spoons, naturally)
- Homemade olive oil and bread are served at every dinner table
- Italian classics like That’s Amore and Volare playing during dinner
These weren’t Pinterest-perfect trends. They were real, heartfelt details that told their story. And that’s what makes a wedding at Connemara House more than just a pretty backdrop. It becomes a lived experience. A memory shared. A story guests actually carry with them.
What truly stood out, though, were the in-between moments. The hugs lasted a little longer. The way guests from Italy and India connected over a shared table. The espresso in one hand, lemon cake in the other, with a familiar song floating through the air. It was warm. It was real. And it was the kind of celebration that didn’t just look good, it felt good.
